The Custom Home Building Process
You would think the home-building process would be a complicated one, but with the right team, everything falls into place.
Step 1 – Consultation
This is the part where your vision becomes our vision. We learn all about your needs and lifestyle. To start, we set a preliminary budget and discuss the specifics of the lot we will be building on.
Our in-house drafting team can gather your needs, wants, and ideas and design a home that accomplishes it all. We also have well-thought-out floor plans from three luxury collections. You can pick any of these floor plans as a starting point and customize your home from there.
Step 2 – Pricing and Contract Agreement
Next, we will come up with a quote for your desired plan. You can rest easy with peace of mind due to our guaranteed pricing. We know that part of the common frustrations with building a home is staying within budget. It is important to us to keep our clients well informed so that they can make educated decisions for their home.
Then, we will walk you through the purchase agreement. This outlines the conditions both the buyer and seller agree upon with the included price.
Step 3 – Interior Design & Product/Materials Selections
Here’s the fun part. One of our interior designers will be with you every step of the way as you choose the details that make the house a home.
Step 4 – Pre-Construction
This is where we meet with you to discuss any plan changes before we start to build. We will review and finalize the planned structure.
Step 5 – Construction
With Designer Homes, you stay a part of the process every step of the way. We use Buildertrend to keep you updated on the entire building process.
You will also have scheduled on-site walk-through visits with the Designer Homes Team.
Step 6 – Completion/Closing
As construction is wrapping up you will have a final walk-through and new home orientation with our customer relations manager.
Next is the closing day! You will finally be the official owner of the home and get your keys to start your life in your new custom-built home.
We then continue to make sure all of your questions and concerns are taken care of. You are then officially a part of the Designer Homes family.
