Bonanzaville, USA is a history museum complex located in West Fargo, North Dakota. It is a museum that is run by the Cass County Historical Society. It is made up of more than forty buildings on twelve acres that represent historic buildings from the area. These structures have been restored and re-erected on the museum grounds, and the entire complex is arranged to resemble a village. Its unique layout gives visitors a glimpse into the past.
Walking around our site, or the gallery itself resembles reliving the years we enjoyed most, those less complex times. The mission of the Cass Region Historical Society is to gather, restore and present artifacts appropriate to the background and cultural heritage of the region for the education and learning as well as pleasure of the public to ensure that all can acquire a far better recognition of those points from the past that act as the foundation for today and tomorrow.
The Cass Region Historical Society was started in 1954 by the Little girls of the Dakota Pioneers in a cellar space at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. Later on, the gallery was moved to Minard Hall at NDSU as well as began to grow with the assistance of its volunteers.
History
Given that 1967, CCHS had been accumulating structures from around the county, and also moving them to the place now called Bonanzaville, USA on land donated by the Red River Valley Fair. Historical Buildings
Our collection currently numbers over 400,000 things that remain in either our permanent collection or our educational collection. For many years, CCHS has collected 41 buildings throughout 12 acres of land, several with historic value or containing duration artifacts, while others house the Eugene Dahl Cars And Truck Gallery, the Eagles Air Gallery, the Moen Tractor Museum, and also the Police Museum.
